This is a brief summary of our main and most popular courses available to the public.
These courses are delivered in online, in-person or hybrid formats, as indicated by the student or client. The timeframes indicated in each instance is simply an indication of the time period that we believe the course would require to complete, and individual students can increase or decrease this guideline as they see fit. Get started, finish when you want to.
The courses consist of face-to-face learning and discussions, extensive course material and group discussions, as appropriate. The course fee includes all course material, and where applicable, one or more of Andre Vlok's published books as course material. The pace of the course is tailor-made around the student's current and changing availability, and weekly programs are designed on that basis. Most of the courses include voluntary practical field work towards the conclusion of the course. The courses are designed for individual study, but we often work with clients in adapting such courses for team study.
Born from the synergies between our consulting work and an academic approach to the design and implementation of best practices, these courses present attendees with truly unique opportunities to gain career and life-changing skills and insights.
All students who successfully complete their courses obtain a certificate to that effect, and gain access to various consultancy benefits and preferences.

1. THE CONFLICT COMPETENT LEADER
The ability to effectively deal with conflict has come to define the modern leader, whether in business or the political arenas. Whether we are dealing with productivity, profitability, survival, supply chain management, expansion, product development or branding, the golden thread that runs through all of this human engagement is conflict.
With the new levels of skill and strategies that have become available to the modern leader, it is no longer sufficient to rely on natural abilities or even common sense. How we understand conflict, and how we engage with it, has measurable impact on our successes, our options, our results, and how we experience our careers.
This elite course is a 12-week course consisting of in-person, online and hybrid personal tuition, designed around the client's specific goals and availability. As such, it can be completed in the timeframe that suits the student. Extensive course material incudes notes in modular format, online consultation, designed role-play, problem-solving exercises and industry-specific notes.
2. THE ELITE NEGOTIATOR - MODERN DAY TOOLS UPGRADED
Developments in a range of multi-disciplinary fields have changed the face of modern elite negotiation forever. An entire paradigm-shift has occurred that severely limits and prejudices those who are not skilled in these new strategies.
This 12-week course provides the student with the building blocks of these new strategies, and the blueprint of how to apply them in their own negotiation. Comprehensive course modules, completed at the student's own pace, ensures a vast improvement in negotiation skills beyond mere cosmetic changes. Intensive online work and personalized consultations, at the student's discretion, make this a truly unique learning experience for high-performing individuals or teams.
3. INTERNAL DISCIPLINARY INQUIRIES - AN UPDATE
Outdated internal disciplinary processes cost South African companies billions of Rand in direct costs, productivity, poor staff retention, underperformance, absenteeism and a range of other adverse workplace risks. The well-established and simply accepted "way things are" can now be significantly improved, with fresh perspectives gained from global and local case studies and research.
Join us for this exciting 8-week course designed specifically for disciplinary chairpersons, initiators and evidence leads, and internalize this modern skill that should form part of any modern management structure. The course also includes a specialist module on trade union engagement during such inquiries. Brand new skills such as evidence management and cross-examination are also included.
4. REGAINING PEACE - A POST-DIVORCE CONFLICT MANAGEMENT COURSE
Our legal system often deals with divorce and related conflicts in a superficial, mechanical manner, often leaving involved parties with unresolved conflict that continue to haunt them and their loved ones for many years after the divorce has been granted. Continued disputes involving custody or access to minor children, maintenance payments and other practical arrangements contribute to these traumatic experiences.
Modern conflict management brings us several very practical solutions to these problems, and we can work at getting justice and a fair result even after the divorce has been concluded. We, and our loved ones, need not be hapless victims. This course, through written material, consultations and practical work such as role-playing and mediated group discussions (voluntary) helps us to gain fair results, and to regain the peace that was ours. Join us from the comfort of your home for this 6-week course.
5. SCHOOL CONFLICT AND THE MODERN EDUCATOR
Many of our schools have become conflict arenas where complex conflicts challenge our educators, school boards and parents at levels for which they have no formal training or preparation. The risks, and the stakes, are incredibly high, and our media carries near-daily reports of these events.
The education and future development of the involved learners, the careers and safety of the educators and staff, reputational harm, family harmony and so much else all depend on how well we manage these conflicts.
This specialist course, developed for educators, SGB and parents, arm us with modern best practices on how to take control of these conflicts to the benefit of all concerned. The 6-week course includes written and other material, consultations, voluntary role-playing and group sessions, and teaches practical, real-world conflict skills for the individual or team. The course includes a module on how to establish an internal conflict program for a school.
